The 2025 RCAT Foundation Scholarship Application will be open on February 1!
The RCAT Foundation is a non-profit organization established by the Roofing Contractors Association of Texas (RCAT).
PURPOSE To provide financial assistance to the children or stepchildren of owners or employees of any RCAT member company in good standing, who are continuing their education in public or private colleges, universities, community colleges and/or trade or technical schools.
ELIGIBILITY -Applicant must be the child or stepchild of a current RCAT member company (owners and the employees of the member company’s children are eligible). -Applicant must meet Federal Student Aid eligibility requirements (as defined by the U.S. Department of Education: https://studentaid.ed.gov/sa/eligibility) -Applicant must be at least a graduating high school senior OR, -Must be enrolled in college as a full-time student (carrying 12 hours or more) OR, -Must be enrolled at a technical/trade school to pursue a degree or certification in construction or related industry. NEW this year! Applicants/students pursuing second degrees or certifications are not eligible.
AWARDS A minimum of three (3) $5,000.00 scholarships to be awarded each year in honor of Annie Born, Jan P. Thomas, and the Roofing Contractors Association of Texas. The RCAT Foundation Board may, at its discretion, provide additional awards in any given calendar year. The awards will be sent directly to the college, university, or trade school for disbursement where the recipient will do his or her studies and/or undergraduate work.
